Tom Shevlin is a managing director in the Commercial practice. Tom has over 17 years of experience in corporate tax, working with a wide array of clients from pre-revenue to Fortune 10 companies. Tom is primarily focused on advising venture capital and private equity-backed clients in the life science, technology, and manufacturing industries from the initial funding through exit.
He has specific expertise in:
- Accounting for income taxes (ASC 740)
- Tax reporting for business acquisitions and dispositions
- Tax accounting for stock-based compensation (ASC 718)
- Corporate domestic and US international tax compliance
Prior to joining Andersen in 2018, Tom worked at EY as a senior manager in their national International Tax Quantitative Services group. He also worked at The Gagnon Group and WTP Advisors, specializing in tax accounting and compliance.
