Edalis Ramirez has more than 10 years of experience providing state and local tax consulting services and managing large, multistate tax compliance engagements across a broad range of industries, including service providers, restaurants, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, transportation companies, and government contractors. She advises clients on complex multistate tax matters, including apportionment analysis, revenue sourcing, nexus determinations, filing methodologies, planning opportunities, and the taxability of transactions, as well as tax controversy matters and voluntary disclosure agreements.
Edalis has extensive experience leading large-scale compliance engagements and identifying state tax exposures and opportunities. Her experience includes multistate corporate compliance within unitary group structures as well as tiered partnership compliance involving complex organizational structures. She has deep expertise in combined reporting methodologies, intercompany eliminations, state-specific apportionment frameworks, and group filing positions, as well as partnership-specific matters such as state withholding, composite filings, pass-through entity tax elections, and multistate K-1 reporting. She also collaborates closely with clients to address evolving state tax requirements and the impact of changing business operations, including multistate footprint considerations.
In addition, Edalis has played a key role in the development and implementation of state tax workpaper automation tools at a prior firm, which were later adopted firmwide to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability across compliance engagements.
Prior to joining Andersen, Edalis worked at RSM and PwC, where she focused on state and local tax compliance services. She is known for delivering practical, accurate, and efficient solutions to complex multistate tax challenges.
