Augusto Conde is a director in the State and Local Tax practice, with more than 15 years of experience advising multinational and domestic companies on unclaimed property matters.
Augusto has provided clients with general consulting, audit defense, voluntary disclosure assistance, and compliance services for unclaimed property in various industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, entertainment, retail, and oil and gas. He has successfully negotiated voluntary disclosure agreements on behalf of his clients and provided audit representation services with the goal of reducing exposure and risk for them. In addition, Augusto has significant escheat planning experience and has helped many clients mitigate exposures through intercompany planning techniques and strategies.
He has been responsible for communicating directly with the state administrators and for reviewing the DE Voluntary Disclosure Agreements (“VDA”) as well as other state VDAs. His responsibilities include coordinating meetings and updates with the various Delaware administrators and internal team members, as well as providing internal quality control reviews of the workpapers to ensure quality and consistency.
Before joining Andersen, Augusto worked with BDO, PwC, and Ryan, Inc. in their unclaimed property consulting practice.
