Denise Clark has over 25 years of experience in accounting and taxation. She currently practices in the area of state and local taxation. Denise assists companies with income, franchise and indirect taxes including compliance, research, nexus reviews, tax refund opportunities, research tax credits, exemption certificate process management, appeals/settlement negotiations and voluntary disclosure.

Denise has been involved in consulting projects covering a variety of industries including major defense contractors, pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers, retailers and financial institutions.

Prior to joining Andersen, Denise worked for 12 years for John Maneely Company, the parent of Wheatland Tube Company, a manufacturer of steel pipe and tube products. She oversaw the day-to-day activities of the company’s corporate tax function including federal and state income taxes (both pass-through and corporate returns), federal and state research tax credits, real and personal property taxes and sales/use taxes. John Maneely Company was purchased by a private equity firm and subsequently made additional acquisitions. Denise was involved in the related due diligence and tax issues.
