Christy Peterson is a managing director in the Valuation practice. She has experience with the valuation of closely held businesses, business interests, intangible assets, intellectual property, debt instruments, and derivatives (including stock options and option-embedded securities). These engagements were conducted for a variety of purposes, including mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, litigation support, strategic planning, and tax planning and reporting.

Services provided on recent engagements include:

• Purchase price allocations and impairment analyses related to FASB ASC Topics 805 and 350, including preparation of responses related to comments from auditors
• Common stock valuations for tax planning and financial reporting to comply with Sec. 409A of the Internal Revenue Code and FASBASC Topic 718 regulations
• Valuation consulting related to tax planning and compliance, including appraisals performed for estate and gift tax reporting, and domestic and international tax planning (including reorganizations, restructuring and ownership/control changes)
• Financial analysis to assist with business planning and acquisitions
• Valuation of stock options and complex option-embedded securities
• Review of valuation analyses performed by other appraisal firms for dispute and litigation purposes
