Maggie Chan is a director in the Alternative Investment Funds practice at Andersen. She has more than seven years of experience providing partnership tax compliance and consulting services to venture capital, fund-of-funds, and private equity clients.
Maggie advises on the full tax lifecycle of venture capital funds, including fund structuring, allocations, and complex partnership tax matters. She works closely with fund managers, as well as administrative and management teams, on tax-efficient investment structuring, including carried interest, management company operations, and transaction planning.
Her experience also includes advising on foreign investment matters and cross-border tax compliance, including reporting requirements such as Forms 8621, 5471, and 8865.
