Tyler Caldwell is a managing director in the State and Local Tax practice at Andersen with more than 25 years of experience advising clients on state and local tax planning, compliance, controversy, and policy matters. He works with large multinational and middle-market businesses to develop tax strategies that address complex multistate issues, including apportionment, sales factor sourcing, nexus, business structuring, and tax compliance.
Tyler has led state and local tax functions for large multinational businesses, helping clients improve processes, implement technology-driven solutions, and navigate evolving state tax regulations. He has advised companies across a range of industries, with a particular focus on technology and retail businesses, and has developed tax tools and methodologies designed to enhance compliance and operational efficiency. Tyler also assists clients with state tax controversy matters and the identification and pursuit of state and local tax incentives and credits.
Before joining Andersen, Tyler held leadership roles with EY, Deloitte, and Arthur Andersen, advising clients on multistate tax planning, compliance, and strategic tax matters.
