Tax Executive Institute (TEI) is a global association made up of tax professionals who are responsible for the tax affairs of their employers in an executive, administrative or managerial capacity. TEI helps to advance their profession by education, networking and advocacy throughout the world. TEI's 73rd Annual Conference, titled Implementing U.S. Tax Reform: Seizing Opportunities, Mitigating Risks, is being held October 29-31, 2018 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel in San Diego, CA. Andersen Global Managing Directors/Partners Juan Federico Fischer, Chuck Chubb and Daniel Kai Fischer, will participate and present at the conference on three separate topics.
Juan Federico Fischer is the Office Managing Partner of Andersen Tax & Legal in Uruguay, and a member of Andersen Global’s Latin American Board. Juan Federico has over 20 years of experience in corporate legal advice, assisting multinationals and high net worth individuals investing or engaging in cross-boarder deals in Uruguay. Juan will present on the topic of M&A Tax Developments on Latin America on Tuesday, October 30. His presentation will cover the state and trends of the M&A market in most South American countries and their relevant industries. In addition, he will address key structuring issues that arise in light of tax regulation, recent changes in some countries and the recommended angles when multinationals acquire companies in the region.
Chuck Chubb is a Managing Director at Andersen Tax in the Philadelphia, PA office. He is a member of the Andersen Tax National Practice Leader for ASC 740 Services and has over 30 years of experience advising a broad range of clients on accounting for income taxes and U.S. federal, state and international tax technical issues. He is also a part of the US National Tax team. Chuck will act as the moderator on a panel titled A View From the Trenches - The New FASB Learning Standard, on Wednesday, October 31. Other panelists will include tax leaders from airline, hotel, retail and technology industries. The panel will provide an overview of the New FASB Leasing Standard and discussion on how the standard could impact a company’s income tax provision and related processes.
Daniel Kai Fischer is a Tax Partner at Andersen Tax & Legal in Germany, the German member firm of Andersen Global. He is specialized in international tax law and German regulatory and tax law for UCITS, AIFs and joint venture companies. Daniel will present on the topic of Tax Treaty Under TJCA on Wednesday, October 31.
